The Floodgates Of Anarchy
Ep3 - Robin Hahnel on Participatory Economics, Venezuela and Economic Justice
December 03, 2013 07:25 PM PST
This month (well November :S) our guest is Robin Hahnel, Professor of Economics at Portland State University and libertarian socialist economist who has authored (alongside Michael Albert) many books over the past two decades, including his groundbreaking work on Participatory Economics, ie: 1991's "The Political Economy of Participatory Economics".
Participatory Economics - or parecon - is a libertarian socialist theory of democratic decentralised planning of the economy. Parecon is probably the most highly developed theory of anarchist economics to the present day and serves as a highly creative and thought-provoking alternative to the old dichotomy of Soviet-style central planning and the market.Episode 2: Liberty, Equality, Solidarity - The Hendiatris of Revolution
